Here you will find art supplies custom made and
chosen for Botanical Drawing with Colored Pencils and Watercolor pencils. We
have custom made watercolor paper notebooks and instructional how
to botanical drawing books. There is an extensive gallery of original
botanical art work and botanical prints. Recently we have added long distance
learning and on-line lessons and well as botanical drawing workshops locally on

Artist-in-Residence series include:
- “Botanical Edibles…Wild and Cultivated” exhibit opening Jan. 26, 7 p.m.,
at the gallery. Her exhibit
focusing on botanicals that are edible for humans – from weeds to
wisteria – will run through Feb. 24. In addition to her plant
illustrations, Hollender plans to displayed specimens from nature
related to her works.
- Hollender will teach her techniques at workshops on Jan. 27 and March 30,
from 1 to 4 p.m., at the SUNY Ulster Stone Ridge campus, Algonquin
Building, room 102. The final workshop will move into nature at the
artist’s Hollengold Farm on April 27, 1 to 4 p.m. The
skills she will teach include creating realistic three-dimensional
form and toning with a single light source that can be applied to all
drawings.
- The gallery exhibit is free and open to the public. Hours are Monday
through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed on college holidays. For
