Pick a subject from the large organic garden. Enjoy a farm fresh lunch prepared at the farm. Draw in colored pencil, charcoal and chalk, or water color.
About the Instructors: ![]() Wendy Hollender, owner of Hollengold Farm is a well known Botanical Artist, author and instructor. She teaches at The New York Botanical Garden and is the current Artist in Resident at SUNY Ulster. Her work appears in numerous publications such as The New York Times, Real Simple Magazine, The Guardian, and Oprah Magazine. She is the author of “Botanical Drawing in Color.” Paul Harwood is herbarium supervisor at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. He illustrates scientific and horticultural publications for Brooklyn Botanic Garden and illustrates children's books. He is an adjunct instructor and graduate of the Pratt Institute. Carol Woodin is one of the world’s experts in painting with watercolor on vellum and is especially known for her orchid paintings. Her work has been exhibited around the world. Some notable collections are the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and the Smithsonian. She is the Director of Exhibitions for the American Society of Botanical Artists and teaches workshops all over the world. Vist Carol's website: |
